The automated data entry system that Metroform designed and implemented for MetroList®, a company that operates a multiple listing service (MLS) data base for real estate professionals, resulted in that kind of savings.

MetroList's data entry staff had to key in the handwritten answers to over a hundred questions about each property submitted to its MLS. Metroform designed a form that allowed OCR (optical character recognition) software to recognize the handwritten response and automatically complete the file for each listing. Using Cardiff's TELEform software and the appropriate hardware, Metroform designed and provided the necessary forms, programmed the new system to process the data, tested it, and provided initial start-up support.
